Telkom Indonesia joins CIO Forum to boost university digital sovereignty
PT Telkom Indonesia participated in the Indonesia Higher Education CIO Forum 2026, held at the Institut Teknologi Bandung from August 31 to September 1, 2026. The forum, organized by the Center for Data and Information Technology (PUSDATIN) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology alongside the Indonesia Research and Education Network (IDREN), aimed to strengthen the integration and quality of Higher Education Database (PDDikti) reporting.
Key discussions during the forum included IT governance, research and education network connectivity, cyber resilience, and the responsible application of artificial intelligence. Seno Soemadji, Telkom's Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio, emphasized that digital transformation in higher education is an urgent necessity. He noted that ecosystem collaboration is essential to prepare for the era of digital computing and quantum technology, as well as to address the digital divide more efficiently and securely.
Furthermore, digital readiness in universities is cited as a critical factor influencing institutional accreditation, graduate employability, and research reputation.
