TelkomGroup plants 20,000 mangrove seedlings in Indonesia

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, operating as TelkomGroup, planted 20,000 mangrove seedlings across two coastal sites: Desa Kedungmalang in Kedung district, Jepara Regency, Central Java, and Desa Golo Sepang in Boleng district, Manggarai Barat Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The planting coincided with International Mangrove Conservation Day (26 July) and International Nature Conservation Day (28 July) and involved volunteers from Telkom Regional III, PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia (InfraNexia) and PT Telkom Akses.

The effort is part of TelkomGroup’s GoZero% sustainability programme, under the “Save Our Planet” pillar, aimed at climate‑change mitigation, erosion control and carbon sequestration while engaging local communities. EVP Rachmad Dwi Hartanto said the activity adds value to the regions where the company operates, and VP of Sustainability Gunawan Wasisto Ciptaning Andri highlighted the broader goal of responsible asset management and long‑term environmental impact.
