TEM highway collision in Istanbul leaves six injured

A carpet‑laden truck lost control on the Istanbul‑bound TEM highway near Büyük Melen, striking a car and causing both vehicles to be thrown onto the emergency lane. The truck overturned and the car was severely damaged, resulting in six people being injured and taken to hospitals in Düzce and Hendek.

Earlier in Beylikdüzü, a vehicle traveling downhill at high speed breached a red light, hit two cars and vaulted over a median onto the opposite lane. No one was hurt, but three cars suffered material damage. Police opened investigations into both incidents.

Both accidents occurred in Turkey and involved significant traffic disruptions, with the TEM crash creating a long traffic jam that was captured by drone footage.
