South Africa secured a 67-run victory over Australia in the first ODI of their three-match series at Kingsmead in Durban. In response, Australia’s chase faltered despite an aggressive start led by Mitchell Marsh, who scored 60 runs off 36 balls. The Australian batting lineup collapsed under the pressure of South Africa’s spin attack. Keshav Maharaj was the standout performer, claiming 4/20, while Bjorn Fortuin contributed 2/34. Australia was eventually bowled out for 230 in 41.2 overs.
