Temelín Nuclear Power Plant to host exclusive night tours

The Temelín Nuclear Power Plant is offering a series of unique night tours throughout September 2026. Organized by ČEZ, these excursions allow a limited group of 128 participants to visit strictly guarded areas of the facility between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

The four-hour program begins at a modernized visitor center with virtual tours and new exhibits before moving into the secured perimeter. Participants will have the opportunity to view the machine room with its operating turbo-generator and the spent nuclear fuel storage facility.

Tours are scheduled for four Fridays in September: the 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. Participation is restricted to Czech citizens aged 15 and older, who must present a physical national ID card or passport for security purposes. Registration via email must be completed by August 31, 2026.
