Tencent Cloud launches Yuanbao Search for enterprises and developers

Tencent Cloud has officially opened its Yuanbao Search service to enterprises and developers. The search engine is designed specifically for large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, integrating public web resources with Tencent’s internal content ecosystem.

The service has built an index scale of hundreds of billions and currently handles hundreds of millions of daily calls, supporting over 50 core Tencent businesses including Tencent Video, Tencent Fintech, and WorkBuddy. It features deep integration with 157 authoritative sources across 13 vertical industries such as finance, medical, legal, and travel. Notably, it maintains a coverage rate of over 99% for financial reports across A-shares, Hong Kong, US, Japanese, and Korean markets.

Technically, Yuanbao Search utilizes a hybrid architecture combining inverted and vector indexing to maintain a 94% recall rate while keeping retrieval latency at an average of 8 milliseconds. The system also employs pre-compressed document caching to reduce model inference time from 149 milliseconds to 30 milliseconds. Pricing for the service starts at 14 RMB per 1,000 queries, with various tiers available including Express, Standard, and Flagship versions.
