Tenkodogo tomato processing plant begins machinery installation
The Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC) has reached a significant milestone in Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso, with the installation of machinery at its second tomato processing plant. Located in Pédogo on a three-hectare site, the facility includes industrial platforms, storage warehouses, technical rooms, and administrative blocks, which are currently in the finishing stages.
APEC Director General Karim Traoré confirmed that the first equipment tests are scheduled to begin around September 15, 2026. These tests are expected to last between ten days and two weeks to ensure all systems are operational before full production commences. Subscriptions for participation in these community enterprises remain open to the public.
