Tennessee to start George MacIntyre against Alabama

Sophomore quarterback George MacIntyre is set to start for the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday against the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide. The decision follows reports that Faizon Brandon, who began the season as the starter, is listed as questionable in the SEC availability report due to a shoulder injury.

MacIntyre recently earned his first career start during Tennessee’s 24-17 victory over Arkansas, where he recorded 247 passing yards and one touchdown. Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel noted that while MacIntyre faced adverse situations, he delivered a winning performance. The matchup is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT at Neyland Stadium and will be broadcast on ABC.
