Tenuta del Travale named among Italy’s 50 ‘Rare Wines’

Tenuta del Travale, a winery located in Rovito near the Sila region, has had its Eleuteria Special Edition 2022 selected as one of Italy’s 50 ‘Vini Rari’ (Rare Wines) by Gambero Rosso. This recognition is part of the Guida Vini d’Italia 2027.

The award is given to labels characterized by extremely limited production, difficult vineyards, or unique production methods. The Eleuteria Special Edition is a pure Nerello Mascalese, with only 630 numbered bottles produced. The wine is aged in a cocciopesto amphora and originates from two hectares of vineyards situated in a Mediterranean highland area.

Owned by the Piluso family, the winery’s vineyards are recognized for heroic viticulture. This selection marks a continued success for the brand, which has appeared in the ‘Vini Rari’ list since 2019.
