Italy: Various student-led initiatives and protests across regions

Multiple student-focused events and demonstrations are occurring across Italy. In Rome, the Campus Bio-Medico University hosted the ‘Human, + Idee’ event, gathering over 1,400 high school students from the Lazio region to discuss future professions, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and healthcare.

In Basilicata, more than 500 students participated in the CineScuolaLab project, which culminated in a presentation at the Rome Film Festival. The initiative involved students in the creation of the short film ‘La Salvasogni’, using cinema as a tool for learning and social inclusion.

Meanwhile, student mobilizations have been reported in other cities. In Rome's San Lorenzo district, students have organized assemblies to coordinate ongoing protests and school occupations. In Trani, members of the Unione degli Studenti held a march to protest deteriorating school infrastructure, transport issues, and the rising cost of living, demanding a formal dialogue with local institutions.

Additionally, the University of Cassino hosted a conference regarding Alzheimer's prevention, involving academics, healthcare professionals, and students to address the social and clinical challenges of the disease.
