Terra Ignis and Argentine officials boost energy cooperation in Neuquén

State‑run energy firm Terra Ignis Energía S.A. led a strategic agenda in Neuquén, meeting with Gas y Petróleo del Neuquén (GyP) and the waste‑treatment company Servicios Ambientales Neuquén (SAN). Company presidents Maximiliano D’Alessio and Guillermo Savasta described the talks as productive, emphasizing shared experience on conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon development and environmentally sustainable waste management. Ministry of Energy officials from Tierra del Fuego – Minister Gabriela Castillo, Secretary of Hydrocarbons Julieta Balderramas and Director Ana Laura López – participated in technical tours of SAN’s treatment plant, the San Benito Energía sand‑conditioning centre, the Aguada Pichana plant and a Total Austral non‑conventional site, saying the visits will help plan future energy projects in their province.

A delegation of national legislators, including Senator Nadia Márquez, visited Vaca Muerta in Neuquén, highlighting a USD 4.5 billion RIGI project that will expand production, infrastructure and employment. They affirmed the sector’s role in Argentina’s economic growth under President Javier Milei.

Together, these meetings and site inspections aim to reinforce collaboration among public energy entities, improve technical capacities and attract further investment to the Neuquén hydrocarbon basin.
