Terrassa Rural Agents Shoot Boar Family in Urban Neighborhood

Terrassa's Rural Agents carried out an operation after the municipal police reported a group of wild boars in the Roc Blanc district. The agents cordoned the area and, citing exceptional risk to citizens and the need to control African Swine Fever, shot a family of boars. The agency defended the action as based on technical, safety and animal‑health criteria, stating that interventions in urban settings are rare and decided case‑by‑case. Residents expressed criticism, describing the measures as disproportionate; a similar culling took place in the same neighbourhood about a year earlier. The agents emphasized that the operation followed a validated eradication plan and was conducted with safeguards for people and property.
