Tesco and Aldi Superstores Approved in Wiltshire and Brentwood

A 40,000 sq ft Tesco supermarket is set to be built in Devizes, Wiltshire, as part of the Moonraker Business Park. The plan includes surrounding lakes and trees, a drive‑through Starbucks and a DIY store, and is expected to create 75–80 jobs.

In Brentwood, Essex, Aldi has secured approval for a new store on Brook Street that will replace an existing car showroom. The development will provide around 40 jobs. Aldi said the project will “improve the convenience retail offer in Brentwood and encourage more sustainable shopping patterns by reducing the need for residents to travel to other Aldi stores.” Both proposals are part of broader retail expansions that also involve Lidl developments in the respective towns.
