Tesla expands Full Self-Driving software updates to HW4 models and limited HW3 cars

Tesla began rolling out the Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14.3.5 update on July 13 via over‑the‑air delivery for vehicles equipped with its new HW4 hardware. The upgrade rebuilds the AI compiler with MLIR, delivering about a 20% faster reaction time, and adds a live camera preview that works while the car is moving, dash‑cam encryption, and parental controls that can block the Browser, Theater and Arcade apps. The rollout is currently limited to HW4‑fitted Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck units.

In parallel, Tesla released a limited‑release version called FSD v14 Lite for legacy HW3 cars. The first rollout began in South Korea on July 10 and, as of mid‑July, the update has reached less than 0.1% of the global fleet. Early users have reported strong performance in rain, emergency‑vehicle handling and other scenarios, but Tesla has not announced a wider release for the United States or Canada.
