Tesla expands Robotaxi service to Orlando and Tampa, Florida

Tesla announced that it will roll out its autonomous ride‑hailing Robotaxi service in the Florida cities of Orlando and Tampa. The expansion comes just before the company’s second‑quarter earnings report and follows earlier deployments in Austin, Texas, as well as further roll‑outs planned for Dallas, Houston and Miami.

The move is part of CEO Elon Musk’s broader shift toward artificial‑intelligence‑driven products, positioning Robotaxi as a key revenue source and a tool to bolster the company’s market valuation. Tesla continues supervised autonomous‑driving tests in the San Francisco Bay Area as it refines safety and operational procedures for wider commercial use.
