Tesla grants Volvo EVs Supercharger access, plans Model Y L launch in Europe

Volvo electric vehicles will be able to charge at Tesla Supercharger stations across Europe. Access will be provided through an integrated authentication and payment system, expanding rapid‑charging options for Volvo drivers and reducing range‑anxiety on long trips. The move reflects Tesla’s broader strategy of opening its charging network to non‑Tesla EVs in the region.

Separately, Tesla has been testing a prototype of a longer‑wheelbase, six‑seat Model Y L at the Nürburgring. The new variant features an 88 kWh battery, Vehicle‑to‑Load capability, active‑cooled wireless charging, and a premium audio system. Designed for families, the Model Y L is expected to enter the European market soon, though pricing and exact launch timing remain to be announced.
