Tesla logs roughly 150,000 km of autonomous driving at its Berlin factory

Tesla has recorded about 93,000 miles – roughly 150,000 kilometres – of Full Self-Driving (FSD) runs at its Giga Berlin (Grünheide) plant. The autonomous trips move newly built Model Y vehicles from the final assembly line to the outbound lot on the factory’s private roads, where the technology is not approved for public use in Germany.

The internal deployment provides zero‑cost validation data for Tesla’s vision‑based AI system and delivers labor and cycle‑time savings by eliminating manual vehicle shuttling. By demonstrating that FSD can reliably transport thousands of cars within a controlled environment, Tesla underscores the scalability of its autonomy stack despite Europe’s cautious regulatory stance.

The milestone was highlighted alongside the plant’s production of 750,000 Model Y units, illustrating how the company is leveraging its own AI to streamline logistics while awaiting broader regulatory approval for consumer use.
