Tesla Model 3 retains 84% battery capacity after 402,000 km
A 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range has demonstrated significant durability after covering approximately 402,000 kilometers (roughly 250,000 miles). Previously used as a taxi, the vehicle has operated on its original traction battery and electric motors.
Diagnostic reports indicate the battery has retained 84 percent of its original capacity. In real-world testing, the vehicle showed a summer range of approximately 457 kilometers and demonstrated efficient charging, adding 30 percent capacity in 11 minutes.
Maintenance records for the high-mileage vehicle show standard wear-and-tear items, including six sets of tires, wiper blades, and suspension bushings. The only unplanned defect noted was an external bumper speaker. The results suggest that electric drivetrains can maintain high performance and battery health even after exceeding standard warranty mileage.
