Tesla Model 3 Sets 20,000‑Mile Full Self‑Driving Record

Tesla owner David Moss has completed a continuous 20,000‑mile run using the company’s Full Self‑Driving (FSD) system in his Model 3, the longest verified uninterrupted FSD streak to date. The mileage was logged across highways, city streets, construction zones and Supercharger entries throughout North America, with no driver intervention recorded by the vehicle’s telemetry and the community‑run FSD Database.

Moss previously achieved runs of 12,961 miles (2025) and coast‑to‑coast trips of 2,732 miles without disengagements. Tesla confirmed the achievement through its built‑in counter and highlighted it in official customer stories. Despite the record, Tesla stresses that FSD remains a supervised driver‑assistance feature that requires drivers to keep their hands ready and remain attentive.

The milestone has drawn comments from Tesla executives, including AI Software Vice President Ashok Elluswamy and CEO Elon Musk, who praised the transparent data as proof of the software’s capabilities on public roads today.
