In late July 2026 Tesla reported that its Full Self‑Driving (FSD) subscription base had risen to nearly 1.5 million users worldwide, a 56 % year‑over‑year increase and the strongest quarterly jump on record. The shift to a subscription‑only model now generates over $65 million per month, with roughly half of subscribers paying $99 a month. The service is active in twelve countries and covers about 15 % of the company's 9.7 million‑vehicle fleet.

A few days later Tesla highlighted a separate milestone: a Model 3 owner completed a continuous 20,000‑mile drive using FSD without any recorded driver disengagements. The run spanned highways, city streets, construction zones and Supercharger stops across North America, reinforcing Tesla’s claims about the system’s real‑world reliability while reminding that FSD remains a supervised driver‑assistance feature.
