Tesla plans personalized Full Self-Driving based on individual driver habits
Elon Musk announced that Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) software will move from a single, uniform driving model to a personalized system that learns each owner's habits and preferences. The updated neural network will remember specific driver interventions—such as lane‑changing choices, HOV‑lane behavior, and parking styles—and adjust its decisions accordingly.
The change follows user complaints about the current FSD's handling of HOV lanes, where the system may exit a faster lane and merge into congested traffic. Tesla already offers a setting to prioritize HOV lanes, and the upcoming personalization will expand that capability across a range of everyday driving scenarios.
