Tesla updates Supercharger app and debuts modular hardware

Tesla has introduced several updates to its Supercharger network, including new software features and a modular hardware design. The latest Tesla app update now includes Supercharger Site Maps, providing users with detailed layouts of charging stations. This feature allows drivers to see individual stall availability, occupied spots, and station layouts on their mobile devices to assist with trip planning.

Additionally, Tesla has debuted the ‘Accordion Supercharger’ in Bavaria. This pre-assembled hardware solution is designed to be installed between parking spaces, making it ideal for retail properties where space for traditional cabinets is limited. The modular system allows up to sixteen V4 stalls to be delivered on a single truck. Tesla claims this prefabricated approach reduces installation costs by approximately 20 percent compared to conventional stations.
