Overview
Tesla is expanding its charging infrastructure through both heavy-duty and passenger vehicle solutions. The company is deploying over 100 Megacharger stalls across 21 sites in Europe—including Germany, France, the UK, Sweden, and the Benelux region—to support the launch of the Tesla Semi. These chargers utilize the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) to deliver up to 1.2 MW of power. In the United States, Tesla will operate public Megacharging sites at new electric truck charging depots in California in partnership with Forum Mobility.
Furthering its network capabilities, Tesla has introduced software updates to its Supercharger app, adding Supercharger Site Maps to show stall availability and station layouts. The company also debuted the ‘Accordion Supercharger’ in Bavaria, a modular, pre-assembled hardware solution designed for space-constrained retail properties. This prefabricated system aims to reduce installation costs by approximately 20 percent.
