Tetovo Clinical Hospital Receives €74 million Investment Toward University Clinic Status
The Clinical Hospital of Tetovo in North Macedonia is moving toward university‑clinic status after a €74 million investment was announced. The funding will finance the construction of a new Gynecology Clinic, an Obstetrics‑Neonatology Centre, a Nuclear Medicine facility, a five‑year administrative building and additional infrastructure. Over 200 new jobs have been created, including 157 medical staff, 25 administrative workers, 22 specialists, 12 technical personnel and the transfer of ten doctors from other institutions. Under the direction of Dr. Erzen Elez, a thoracic surgery department is also being opened for the first time. The state agency VLEN confirmed the start of preparations, noting the project will improve health services for Tetovo and the wider Pollog region and reduce the need for patients to seek care abroad.
