Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton faces voter‑fraud complaint over alleged illegal voting

The complaint alleges Paxton voted six times in the past two years at a Collin County address where he no longer resides, despite having moved to Denton County following a divorce.

The allegations stem from a ProPublica and Texas Tribune investigation that linked Paxton to the Collin County registration while he was registered elsewhere. As a candidate for the U.S. Senate, Paxton’s office had recently warned voters that misrepresenting residence on election records is illegal. The secretary of state’s office must conduct an initial review and may refer the matter to the attorney general, but the outcome remains uncertain.
