Ker’Sean Ramey executed in Texas for 2005 triple homicide
Ker’Sean Ramey, 41, was executed by lethal injection on Wednesday at the state penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas. His death comes one week after his accomplice, LeJames Norman, was also put to death for the same crimes.
Ramey was convicted of capital murder for the August 2005 shootings of Samuel Roberts, Tiffani Peacock, and Celso Lopez. The three victims were killed during an attempted robbery at a home in Edna, Texas, after Ramey and Norman failed to find cocaine they believed was in the residence.
Before the injection, Ramey offered final words praising God and expressing gratitude to his family and fellow death row inmates, whom he referred to as “brothers.” His attorneys had previously appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing that jurors were unaware of his history of childhood abuse and poverty, but the request was rejected. Ramey was the sixth inmate executed in Texas this year.
