Texas man accused of killing estranged wife in Plano
Jake Bigoni, 37, has been accused of killing his estranged wife, Eliana Bigoni, in Plano, Texas. The incident occurred while the couple was in the process of a divorce.
Police arrived at the couple's apartment for a welfare check after Eliana's mother and a friend reported she had missed a scheduled meeting and stopped responding to messages. Upon arrival, officers observed a large blood stain on Jake Bigoni's shirt, which he allegedly claimed was from cleaning the home. Investigators later identified the stain as blood.
Inside the apartment, authorities reported finding significant blood spatter. Eliana Bigoni's body was discovered in the trunk of a white Hyundai parked in the apartment garage, showing severe injuries to her head and face.
According to an arrest affidavit, Jake Bigoni allegedly called his mother shortly before police arrived, stating, ‘I have something to tell you. She’s dead. We got into a fight and she is dead.’ The couple's two young sons, aged two and five, were present in the home at the time of the incident but were reported to be unharmed. They were removed from the residence by responding officers.
