The claims, which spread across TikTok, Facebook, and X, alleged that staff members would lick their fingers or spit on dinner rolls to contaminate meals.

Texas Roadhouse has vehemently denied the claims, labeling them “completely unfounded” and describing the situation as an online hoax. The company stated it has found no credible evidence of food tampering or the existence of such a group and has hired a third-party firm to investigate the source and motives behind the viral posts.

While the allegations sparked calls for boycotts, no specific restaurant location, employee, or verified incident has been identified. Some reports indicate that the Facebook group mentioned may have been intended as satire, and one social media user who amplified the claims later apologized, stating the story was a hoax.
