Texas Roadhouse denied the allegations, labeling them “completely unfounded” and describing the situation as an online hoax. An internal investigation, supported by a third-party firm, found no evidence of the alleged group or any instances of food tampering. Investigators noted that the account used to spread the rumor showed suspicious activity and was subsequently deleted. Fact-checking organization Snopes also concluded the claims were unfounded.

Discrepancies in the viral claims were noted, including the allegation of a 400,000-member conspiracy group despite Texas Roadhouse employing approximately 101,000 people. While the incident prompted calls for boycotts from some activists, the company reported no impact on its business operations.
