Hidalgo Governor Julio Menchaca Announces Over 25 Billion Pesos Public‑Infrastructure Investment

Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar of Hidalgo declared that more than 25 billion pesos will be allocated to public‑infrastructure projects across the state's 84 municipalities, aiming to close a historic backlog in roads and other facilities. He announced that an additional 8.115 billion pesos will be jointly provided by the state and federal government to rebuild areas damaged by the October 2025 floods.

The announcement was made during the first trirregional 2026 meeting of the Mexican Federation of Civil Engineers Colleges, where Menchaca also took oath of the new XII Directorial Committee of the Hidalgo Civil Engineers College.
