French television networks launch new season programming
French television networks marked the end-of-summer season return on August 31 with various programming launches and audience battles.
In the late-afternoon talk-show slot, Cyril Hanouna’s show on W9 led with an average of 1.18 million viewers (6.9% share), narrowly ahead of Yann Barthès’s 'Quotidien' on TMC, which averaged 1.10 million viewers (6.8% share). While Hanouna secured the overall lead, Barthès saw a peak of 1.51 million viewers during a segment featuring Camille Cottin.
Prime-time programming featured the return of the series 'Camping Paradis' on TF1. The new episode, 'Coups de cœur au Paradis', featured Laurent Ournac making his directorial debut. The episode drew approximately 3.00 million viewers, though it trailed M6’s 'L’amour est dans le pré' in overall ratings.
On W9, the adventure reality show 'Les Apprentis Aventuriers' launched its tenth season. The new season introduces modified rules where contestants must earn pearls to trade for food and comfort, alongside the introduction of a 'cabin of advantages'.
