TGN to invest US$ 2.2 billion in Manuel Belgrano Gas Pipeline

Transportadora de Gas del Norte S.A. (TGN) has announced the construction of the Manuel Belgrano Gas Pipeline, a project involving a total investment of approximately US$ 2.2 billion. The initiative includes the construction of 753 kilometers of new infrastructure connecting Tratayén in the Neuquén Basin to La Carlota in Córdoba.

The project aims to enhance gas transport from the Vaca Muerta formation to address supply deficits in central, northern, and coastal Argentina, while also developing export markets to neighboring countries. The pipeline will traverse five provinces: Neuquén, Río Negro, La Pampa, San Luis, and Córdoba.

In addition to the main pipeline, the investment covers complementary works, including 147 kilometers of loops in Córdoba, Santa Fe, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, and Tucumán, as well as adding up to 71,000 HP of power across five compressor plants. The project is expected to provide an initial capacity of 13 million cubic meters per day, with operations slated to begin by April 2029. TGN plans to initiate capacity contests and interest manifestations in late 2026, with offers expected to be adjudicated by late November.
