Thai AirAsia X launches joint travel campaign with Thailand tourism board

Thai AirAsia X, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, has launched a joint promotional campaign titled ‘Journey to the Best: Thailand’. The campaign, running from August 31 to early September 2026, offers discounted one-way fares to Bangkok (Don Mueang) from several Japanese cities, including Narita, Osaka, Sapporo, and Nagoya.

One-way fares starting from 21,670 yen are available for bookings made via the AirAsia MOVE app. The promotion also includes the ‘Fly-Thru’ service, allowing passengers to connect through Bangkok to other Thai destinations such as Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai. Additionally, a discount of up to 30% is being offered on ‘Value Pack’ options, which include 20kg of checked baggage, seat selection, and in-flight meals.

The airline is also expanding its service footprint in Japan. Flights from Sapporo/New Chitose to Bangkok are scheduled to resume on October 1, 2026, with plans to increase frequency to daily service by December. Nagoya/Chubu to Bangkok services will resume on October 2, 2026. Furthermore, Fukuoka to Bangkok flights will increase to daily service starting September 22, 2026.
