Thai Cabinet prepares for three-day no-confidence debate

Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Whip, has addressed the upcoming no-confidence motion against the government. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, has proposed a three-day window from October 27 to 29 for the opposition to conduct the debate, with a vote scheduled for October 30.

This schedule is intended to accommodate the Prime Minister's upcoming international commitments, including the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and the 48th ASEAN Summit, as well as domestic duties in Udon Thani. While the opposition has requested a five-day period, Paradorn stated that three days is sufficient within the current timeframe.

Regarding claims by Democrat Party Deputy Leader Korn Chatikavanij about having “knockout blows” against the administration, Paradorn expressed confidence that the Prime Minister and 17 other ministers are prepared to respond to all allegations and evidence presented during the debate.
