Thai cultural festivals held in Prague and Chiang Rai showcase heritage

The Royal Thai Embassy organized Thai Market 2026 in Prague on 4 September 2026, offering free admission to Thai cuisine, workshops, live performances and tourism information. Ambassador Pichit Boonsud said, “Thai Market has become a meaningful platform to bring Thailand closer to the Czech public through friendship, creativity, and people‑to‑people connections.”

From 24 July to 2 August 2026, Chiang Rai hosted the second‑annual Pakad art festival, transforming the city’s historic Grand Market into a living art museum. The event featured exhibitions by over 40 artists, theater, outdoor cinema, fashion shows and a marketplace for locally‑made crafts, supporting the city’s recent designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Design.
