Thai Nguyen police prosecute two for counterfeit brand infringement

Thai Nguyen Provincial Police have initiated criminal proceedings against two individuals, Pham Van Dung and Duong Cong Anh, for infringing upon industrial property rights.

During inspections of business activities in Kha Son and Diem Thuy communes, economic police discovered two clothing businesses selling counterfeit goods. Authorities seized nearly 1,800 products bearing famous brand names, including Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Nike, Gucci, and Hermès, with a total estimated value exceeding 756 million VND.

At Pham Van Dung’s location, 1,124 products worth approximately 519.5 million VND were confiscated. At Duong Cong Anh’s establishment, 657 products worth about 236.7 million VND were seized. Both suspects are facing charges related to the violation of protected trademarks in Vietnam.
