Thai PM joins youth singer Nene Royal for cabinet‑room performance
On 14 July, officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports met Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Government House building 1 to host a publicity event for teenage artist Rattikarn Amloy, known as Nene Royal. The Phuket‑born performer, who gained international attention after appearing on America’s Got Talent, played Seg Lo So’s song “Somsan” and The Cranberries’ “Zombie”. Ministers and the prime minister joined in singing, clapped to the rhythm, and were handed microphones to take part in the performance. After the musical showcase, the prime minister presented Nene with a souvenir and posed for photos with the ministers.
The event concluded as the prime minister presided over the cabinet meeting, which addressed key agenda items such as the criteria for the state welfare card, extensions of work permits for Lao, Myanmar and Vietnamese workers, and various ministerial proposals on education, labor, and cultural cooperation.
