Thai police arrest ‘super-admin’ of major online gambling network
Thai police have arrested a 29-year-old woman in Nakhon Pathom for her role as a ‘super-admin’ managing the financial systems of eleven major online gambling brands. The network, which offered services including live casinos, slots, baccarat, and sports betting, reportedly processed at least 5 million baht daily, exceeding 100 million baht per month.
The suspect was responsible for authorizing deposits and withdrawals in both Thai baht and various cryptocurrencies. Investigators utilized cyber tracking to bypass the network’s attempts to hide its identity through Cloudflare, VPNs, and virtual private servers (VPS).
During interrogation, the woman stated she had previously undergone training in Poipet, Cambodia, for online gambling management. Following increased crackdowns on gambling sites in Cambodia, she reportedly returned to Thailand to manage customer data and backend systems, working 12-hour night shifts under remote instructions. Police are continuing to investigate the financial flows to identify the organizers and beneficiaries of this international criminal network.
