Thailand authorities investigate bar employee shaving woman's head over unpaid bill

A video showing a bar employee shaving a woman's head in the Pinklao area of Bangkok, Thailand, has sparked significant backlash. The incident occurred on August 25 after the woman allegedly attempted to leave a popular bar without paying a bill of approximately 60,000 baht (about $1,800).

Reports indicate the woman may have used a forged identification document to enter the establishment and has a history of leaving hospitality venues without settling her accounts. According to available information, the woman reportedly agreed to have her hair shaved to avoid being handed over to the police because she could not pay the debt.

A non-governmental organization has condemned the act as illegal, stating that private individuals cannot impose such punishments. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
