Thailand floods trigger crocodile escapes in Sa Kaeo

Severe flooding in Thailand has led to a dangerous situation in Sa Kaeo province, where four crocodiles, each approximately 2 meters long, have escaped. Residents reported sightings near the Golden Place Nava Farm in Khao Chakan district, forcing some people to climb trees for safety. Authorities have advised the public to avoid wading in floodwaters and warned against attempting to approach or capture the animals.

The flooding in Sa Kaeo has impacted seven districts, 22 sub-districts, and two urban residential areas. Heavy rainfall has overwhelmed drainage systems, causing significant damage to residential areas and blocking major highways. Meanwhile, water levels in reservoirs are rising, with the Phra Sateng reservoir being closely monitored as it nears capacity.

Across Thailand, particularly in the eastern regions, heavy rains continue to cause widespread flooding. In Bangkok, a state of disaster has been declared due to persistent heavy rainfall and prolonged inundation.
