Thailand launches new Omplus government bond sale
The Ministry of Finance opened a new round of the "Omplus" retail government bond on 3‑5 September, offering a total of 2 billion baht. The issue is split into two series – a 3‑year bond with a 1.80 % fixed annual yield and a 10‑year bond with a 2.80 % fixed annual yield – and uses a “Small Lot First” allocation system to guarantee small investors a share. Purchases can be made through the Bond Connect platform, participating banks and securities firms, or via a streaming app, with a minimum purchase of 1,000 baht.
On the same day, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul began an official visit to Indonesia, departing from Don Mueang Airport for Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta. The trip marks the first official visit by a Thai prime minister in 15 years.
