Thailand Omplus bond rollout
Overview
In early September 2026 the Ministry of Finance opened the next tranche of the Omplus retail bond, issuing 2 billion baht over 3‑5 September. The offering kept the same split—3‑year at 1.80 % and 10‑year at 2.80 %—and used the “Small Lot First” allocation to protect small investors, with purchases possible via Bond Connect, participating banks and securities firms, or a streaming‑type app (minimum 1,000 baht). The issuance followed the July‑August launch that sold out within seconds and demonstrated the programme’s aim of widening financial inclusion. The September tranche confirmed the government’s plan for up to 4 billion baht of additional bonds in the month.
