Thailand police arrest 16 in major narcotics crackdown
Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) conducted a nationwide crackdown titled “Operation Blacklist Hunt,” resulting in the arrest of 16 suspects linked to a major narcotics network and outstanding warrants. The operation, which took place between September 4 and September 11, 2026, targeted 16 locations across Thailand and abroad.
Authorities seized over 1 million methamphetamine pills and 514 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, also known as “ice.” Additionally, police confiscated four vehicles and three firearms, with the total value of seized drugs and property estimated at more than 120 million baht.
The arrests included five high-priority suspects and 11 alleged district-level distributors. The suspects have been handed over to local investigators for further proceedings.
