Thailand's Thai Kuay Thai Plus spending exceeds 138 billion baht

The Thai government has announced that cumulative spending under the ‘Thai Kuay Thai Plus’ program has exceeded 138.38 billion baht. As the initiative enters its final month, officials are urging eligible citizens to utilize their remaining balances to alleviate living costs and support small businesses.

As of September 4, 2026, approximately 26 million people have been granted eligibility, with over 1.19 million verified merchants participating nationwide. The program operates on a 60/40 co-payment model between the state and citizens. Of the total spending, the government has contributed 79.5 billion baht, while citizens have contributed 58.87 billion baht.

Spending has been distributed across general retail and food delivery services. Specifically, food delivery services have seen a total circulation of 5.16 billion baht. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswiwatana emphasized that the program aims to distribute income to community entrepreneurs and stimulate the local economy through both physical storefronts and online channels.
