Thanh Hang's 'Mesdames Thanh Sắc' faces poor ticket sales in Vietnam

The self‑produced movie 'Mesdames Thanh Sắc' starring and produced by Thanh Hang has generated roughly 16.6 billion VND in box‑office revenue after nearly five weeks in cinemas. The film was expected to reach 80 billion VND to break even, but it has fallen far short of that target.

At one point the film sold only two tickets in a single day, yielding just 53,333 VND, while nine showings continue to run. The opening week brought close to 10 billion VND thanks to strong publicity, but earnings sharply declined as the movie faced stiff competition from new releases.
