Thanh Hoa accelerates project completion and AEON MALL opening

Thanh Hoa province is accelerating the completion of stalled projects and administrative reforms to boost budget revenue. The AEON MALL Thanh Hoa shopping center, representing an investment of 4,100 billion VND, is nearing completion with 99% of construction finished and 97% of retail spaces leased. The project is expected to hold a tree-planting ceremony on September 13, with a grand opening scheduled for October 18.

In August, Thanh Hoa reported total revenue of 5,294 billion VND, a 39.6% increase from July. Import-export activities for the first eight months reached 18,511 billion VND, exceeding the annual target. To sustain this growth, provincial authorities are prioritizing the resolution of delayed projects and the recovery of land from inactive developments to reassign to capable investors.

Administrative reforms have also yielded results, including the restructuring of 22 land-related procedural groups. This has reduced processing times from 16.5 hours to approximately 7 hours and lowered compliance costs for citizens and businesses by an estimated 114.2 billion VND annually. To date, the province has resolved 190 out of 303 delayed projects, unlocking significant land and capital.
