Storm No. 4 and a tropical convergence zone have triggered widespread heavy rainfall, flooding, and landslides across Northern Vietnam. In Lạng Sơn, landslides in Chi Lăng have damaged homes and vehicles, while flooding has affected thousands of households in areas like Thất Khê and Tràng Định. Emergency relief efforts, including the distribution of essential supplies, are underway.

Quảng Ninh and Hải Phòng have faced severe weather, with high winds and heavy rain causing significant risks in the Gulf of Tonkin. Local authorities in Quảng Ninh have mobilized thousands of personnel to manage landslides and flooding, while also implementing maritime bans to protect vessels. In Cửa Ông, dozens of households were urgently relocated due to landslide risks.

In Thanh Hóa, authorities have relocated 175 households, totaling 810 people, to safer locations to mitigate the risk of flash floods and landslides. Meanwhile, in Bắc Ninh, heavy rains have flooded over 8,300 hectares of crops. The Ministry of Health has also ordered medical facilities in the affected northern and central regions to maintain 24/7 emergency readiness to respond to the ongoing natural disaster.
