Vietnam law enforcement conducts regional crackdowns on abuse, drugs, and counterfeits

Police in various regions of Vietnam have conducted several operations targeting child abuse, drug use, and counterfeit goods.

In Dong Nai, authorities are investigating Duong Dai Long for the violent abuse of a child. The suspect reportedly used a wooden stick to strike the victim and forced the child to kneel until the early morning hours. The victim's mother reportedly witnessed the abuse but did not intervene.

In Da Nang, police launched a 45-day intensive campaign to clean up drug-related activities. During a large-scale inspection at a wholesale market, officers tested 155 individuals, including porters and drivers, identifying four positive cases for narcotics.

Additionally, in Phu Tho province, authorities prosecuted Nguyen Van Chung for infringing industrial property rights. Police seized 1,115 pairs of counterfeit shoes branded as Adidas, Nike, and Gucci, with a total estimated value of over 253 million VND.
