The Batman Part II production paused due to Matt Reeves family matter

Production of ‘The Batman Part II’ has been temporarily paused as director Matt Reeves steps away to attend to a family matter. The decision was confirmed by DC Studios and Warner Bros., who stated that Reeves has the full support of the studio and they look forward to resuming work soon.

Filming for the sequel, which stars Robert Pattinson, had been underway in London. While the production halt is currently described as a temporary pause, it remains unclear if this will impact the film’s scheduled theatrical release date of February 18, 2028. The project has already faced several previous delays.

The cast includes returning actors Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell, alongside newcomers Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. The film is expected to follow the events of the HBO series ‘The Penguin’.
