The Beatles release expanded special edition of ‘Rubber Soul’

Apple Corps Ltd. and Universal Music Group have released an expanded special edition of The Beatles’ landmark 1965 album, ‘Rubber Soul’. The reissue features new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes produced by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell.

The collection includes the original mono mix, the original US Capitol version, and a wealth of archival material. Super Deluxe editions contain 24 early session recordings, including 20 previously unreleased takes and three home demos, such as the previously unheard John Lennon song ‘Little Girl’.

Physical formats for the release range from single CDs and LPs to multi-disc Super Deluxe sets and Blu-ray editions. The reissue also provides a historical comparison between the UK and US versions of the album, which featured different tracklists and mixes during their original release.
